What you mean what kind of ranges do we have? It's called the Backyard bruh. I own my own range lol, I use to be a SoCal Coastal Elite, than I got my own range.

Depends on the backyard then, and where you be at in the Holler. 100 Yards to 500 yards, usually on average around 100-300 Yards. I got a buddy that is right up against the mountain here in Roan Mountain where it goes all the way up to over 1000 Yards, but that is a rarity not the norm.

@themanimal Can we get some specs?
It would be my pleasure @Ivan1

Lower is the same old Gen 1 Noveske SBR yall have been seeing for years
ALG LPK and trigger
Upper in the subject photo is an Armalite
8.3" 300 Blackout Ballistic Advantage barrel with AAC breakout
Dbal i2
Surefire M952v
Vortex Razor HD II 1-6 JM-1 in a Geissele 1.93" Mount
Magpul MLOK vertical grip
KAC URX4 8.5"
KAC BUIS
KAC Sandcutter BCG C158 Bolt
KAC Taupe Grip
HK MR556 mags
Omega 9k hopefully by next month

I usually don't use it as a mini recce because I have the Johnny clone for that. The 8.3" is for HD and is currently configured as seen on the bottom of this pic:

@RTUtah @InfamousAK @Eyekahn Yes, there are some peasants in the smokies. But if I could find a job in Cherokee Co. doing what I do and making what I make, I'd be there, but there isn't much. As far as places to shoot, this little abandoned (for now) forestry logging road (identified by the red dots) runs behind my MIL's house and SIL's house:

I will neither confirm nor deny having been on the road...with any rifles...

I shoot coyotes with my 12.5 .300 Blackout Pistol, soon to be SBR. For some reason they decided to set loose all kinds of coyotes up here a few years back and now they've become a problem lol, go figure right?

I ask because I have a 10.3 300 BLK pistol but want to use a 5.56 to save on fur. Wondering if you were getting DRT speeds shooting 50-55 grain pills out of a 12.5.

Well I don't have an answer on the 556 for you, but my .300 Blackout Pistol is my favorite Deer Slapper, does even better with Coyotes, so it suffices, but a little confused by what you are asking, a little clarification to it please.

It can vary quite a bit by barrel.  My Triarc rifled 12.5 shoots 55gr pills a bit less than 200 fps slower than my 16" chrome lined barrels.   I imagine you could make up for any difference with bullet selection.

I don't shoot coyotes but I do chrono my stuff.

12.5" grendel

I have not zeroed her yet.

On a side note I was thinking about putting an ADM Noveske mount and maybe some other Noveske branded swag on her, but figured what's the point.  All the things I hsve on it now have really grown on me and function just fine as is.

Thanks.

Right after I posted that pic the ATF emailed me, my F1 is approved. 16 days.

Now have to decide between BCM BFH 11.5 or BCM 11.5 EHL. Leaning towards EHL.

I highly recommend the ELW. The BFH barrels are great too, but I'm sticking with the standard until they offer a BFH-ELW version. The ELW profile is perfection in my opinion.

This is all I contribute. Snagged the viper gen 1 PST for a amazing price NIB Off the EE.

Geissele SDC trigger is here waiting for small parts.

knights mag release, talon safety, MOEK2+ Are in transit somewhere.

11.5 ELW upper, Geissele SDCH  in DDC, BCM FDE BCG, VIckers padded sling, H2 buffer and dead air MB are also somewhere in the mail.

Still neeed mount, BUIS, light, and decide on a forward grip or handstop or something.

Scored the Vortex 1-6x24 MRAD, ADM mount, covers and throw lever for $1k shipped off FB.  Very happy about that.

As posted before, Larue Stealth 12.5" Barrel, BCM Guts, AAC-556.  I Have a Geissele 2 Stage in another lower that I will swap out.

Hope to get it dialed in this weekend but need some heavier ammo, any recommendations are appreciated.

This Larue/Harris bipod is rather large on the rifle, does anything out there have a smaller footprint?

I've always run Harris bipods on my rifles, but recently I picked up some Atlas bipods and they definitely have a smaller footprint.  Also Magpul bipods.

I enjoy this thread. Thought I would post update. 11.5” is my favorite right now.

I was planning to do an 18” spr while I was doing a Black Friday build for my son. Somehow I ended up with a pinned 14” BA barrel.

Just scored a smoking deal on my second nxs.

I am dying to get out and do some accuracy testing with the GCQBR, but will have to wait until next weekend:

Got a pretty black and white ipotato pic of old faithful:

Nothing as cool as the ALG Defense and KAC beauties posted above, but those aren't mine...and these are

ETA: Been thinking about a Trijicon Accupower 1-8 to put on one of the minis. I have an Accupower 1-4 and the glass it's ok; nothing to write home about. Is the Accupower 1-8 twice as nice? because it's about double the price.

Dang. I did just pick it up NOT on sale but, I have two mounts and hope to make up the difference on a 2nd used m952. I only paid $160 for the one in the pic. I'll just wait for another deal. They aren't worth $250 brand new.

Larue is my favorite for QD scope mounts; they are tried and true.
