Anyone have any suggestions to improve the reticle brightness on an Eotech 553. Eotech won't do any work on them anymore. Just got one and the reticle is pretty faded. Thanks.

FYI, for anyone that was looking for a decent price on an EXPS3-0:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/EOTECH-EXPS3-0-Holographic-Weapon-Sight-TAN-68MOA-Ring-1-MOA-Dot-Recitile-NEW/333053471909?epid=1100020102&hash=item4d8b88aca5:g:OgIAAOSweshcV66z Ebay is doing 13% Ebay Bucks if you use the app, which brings it down to $487.19. Only downside is that Ebay Bucks have to be spent on Ebay, but even considering that, it isn't bad a deal at all. |

What you most likely have is delamination or loss of nitrogen |

From what I was told by eotech the nitrogen purge leaks onto the electronics and causes the reticles to dim out. I begged them to fix my 551,they said even if I wanted to pay they couldn't do anything because they do not have anymore parts for them. Same goes for the 553.
luckily I had my 553 repaired free of charge back in 2015. The glass has some of that crack looking shit going on around the edges but the reticle is bright as my 2018 units. i also got my xps back from repair about a month ago for a faded reticle. Came back good as new. |

Is a government profile clone correct or SOCOM profile barrel? What does everyone recommend? New to the clone game so take it easy on me. Just trying to get my parts list solid before I start ordering so any tips would be appreciated.

They fixed it around last year for free but apparently thats not a thing anymore. Originally Posted By brodband8: Gotcha. Yeah would like to see more closeups. Looks pretty good.
