That's why I did a H.

It's got the widest berth when it comes to parts and are a lot easier/cheaper to find. I still want to snag a recce rail and NLS rings (though I despise ARMS).

I'll keep that in mind when I start to build one. The holland was what I was leaning towards, so it's good to know price and parts availability are a little better with that build.

Just got my carry handle, it's in nice shape. Don't know if I want to cut it down lol.

This is my first a2 rear sight. Is it supposed to wiggle and shift to the left? Seems odd..

Seems very excessive.  And changes when it's lower and higher.  Oh well. Cut it and paint it and shoot.

FWIW, my brand new LMT rear sight is the same way in that respect. I researched it and everything that I read online said that it is totally normal.

That’s totally normal and is the same way on issued guns. If it makes you feel better just make sure it’s always pressed to the same side.

I've been looking at the tan M600DF and wondering if I need 1500 lumens of awesome on my CQBR :\.

On the other hand, once you add the weight of the RC, I don't know if I really want to add even more frickin' weight out front. I really like how it balances with the M300 right now.

Does anyone know if the M600DF accepts a standard socketed tailcap? You know, just to keep my options open :p.

1500 lumen's sweet baby jesus that's gotta be bright. I'm running my M300 now and it balances well but I haven't gotten in my RC to the dealer to sample that but I know the weight will definitely change.

Wait......so radioactive materials are legal, but things made of plastic are "known by the state of California to cause cancer"?

Yeah, I'd probably move to Messico too.

Makes about as much sense as suppressors being an NFA item or the thought that murderers and gangs are going to follow 10rd mag laws and bullet button bans, and the law abiding citizen will be a ok. But little do they know, California literally is cancer. Nuclear waste. There is literally CA in my night sights.

That there is pure greatness. The uu07 tailcap/pressure switch. Pretty sure there was a convo a page or two back on this tailcap. This ones up there with the sw02 for retro millennium setups. The xm tailcap with push button and pressure switch came later I believe.

The friendly neighborhood postal package fairy came bearing gifts today. You might say they took a four pronged approach to mail delivery :D.

Other than a mild wrench mark on the flats, it looks basically new. So, I'm happy.

Now I'm just debating between doing it right and pulling the rail so I can get the barrel in vise blocks, or trying with the BEV block first and see if ye ol' 3 prong'll cooperate :\.

Yeah, it's Rocksett. At the time I figured I'd have the RC by now and would be using the 3P as a mount. If you broke index pins I'm guessing you used a clamshell? The BEV indexes with the extension, so the main danger is outright unscrewing the barrel from the extension. Assuming it's torqued to the proper 150lbs, it should be alright in theory. But, as everyone should know, Mr. Murphy sometimes gives theory a swift kick in the ass. I'm going to give it a good boil first to hopefully get rid of as much Rocksett as possible; I didn't use much, just a really light coat.

Hopefully at that point it'll just be torque to contend with. It's torqued to SF's recommended 30lbs or so, but that doesn't mean much after heat and carbon. Likely be a good bit more to break it loose. I guess I should just do it right. But then I have to spend 20 minutes with the goddamn half turns on the RIS II bolts each time, then re-Loctite, realign, re-zero the BUIS... it's re: a-pain-in-the-ass. Blah :|.

Other than a mild wrench mark on the flats, it looks basically new. So, I'm happy.

Now I'm just debating between doing it right and pulling the rail so I can get the barrel in vise blocks, or trying with the BEV block first and see if ye ol' 3 prong'll cooperate :\.

Nice!! welcome to the 4 prong lyfe...

Do it right with the vise blocks. these barrels are too expensive to risk breaking a pin. bev block isn't terrible considering it still removes pressure from the upper when cranking on muzzle devices
