Well boys, I went ahead and did the thing. Painted the MK18 today using Aervoe Earth Yellow (maybe?) and Field Drab. Im a big fan of this color scheme, and like it way more than my old Krylon camo jobs that I used to swear by. Hopefully it wears in fairly quick, as it looks too good right now. I didnt paint the EOTech because Im about to sell it to a buddy (along with the CTR). B5 Coyote SOPMOD on the way, and a new optic is in planning stages. Trying to decide between Aimpoint T2, NF NX8, or an FDE EOTech. Tried to take some pics in varied lighting, but it was getting dark quick. Ill post up better outdoor pics in the future.

Are Vero Beach marked M4 RAS more sought after than the Titusville ones? What's a fair price for one in 8/10 condition (few nicks on left and right side) Also, what's the going rate for a Colt upper receiver? Still new to the clone life so i'm trying to get a feel for pricing. Thanks in advance.

My issued mk18 would make heads explode. Idk who's bright idea it was to put a shitty ta47 on a 10.3 and have us do like 99% cqb... but I hate them.

Found one of these surplus larue and aimpoint mag mounts hiding at one of the LGS for a good price. Kinda like it more than the G33. It’s nice being able to pick a mount you like.
  Also I put up a extra surplus upper kit minus the BCG and 4 prong in the EE. Gonna use those parts doing a block 1 mk18 build and decided I didn’t need two. |

There have been a handful of times I'll chuck the G33 in a case or in the back of the truck and the Elevation/Windage knob will be tweaked out of center. It makes sense now, why you'll sometimes see surplus'ed G33s with missing turrets or Orings stacked on the turrets. I wish Eotech would have kept the slicked down adjustments like their G23 Magnifiers. |

I did swap someone on here my EXPS3-0 in a deal, I believe it had a 2017 date. Can't remember, but it had slight delamination. Nothing major and I'm sure EOTech's customer service would be spot on in taking care of it. That being said, I have a friend who just ordered an overpriced "amazon special" EXPS3-0 in tan, late 2020 date, and it's fine. Same with my EXPS3-2. With a relatively recent date you should be fine. 2012 552 I acquired in EE is pretty flawless in terms of the optics. Pretty sure it's either hit or miss with EOTech, but obviously, way more hits than misses; problems are relatively rare and not as common as the internet says they are. |
