And they also poke the shit out of you if you have it mounted on the strong side.

eta: a lot of dudes used S&B PMs and even more line guys used CQ/Ts (with the original reticle)
some mounted fixed 10x scopes from M24 rifles as well, as many units were switching out issued optics to larger variable powers for those weapons

That would be pretty cool, just the two 553 models I've owned both faded so badly they weren't really useable. It is the best looking block optics though.

For a Blk I, Go old school with a Govt Profile.  You'll notice the weight difference between the two.  SOCOM if running full auto but takes longer to cool down.

My unit just got 320s for our last deployment. We borrowed them from the Army had to give them back. We had no slings for them so dudes weaved 550 cord slings, no holsters and had no way of mounting them to the rifles. At least guys weren't forced to carry the GLS anymore.

i dig the 320, faster loading, easier loading for atypical rounds, the trigger is awesome for a launcher, the stock ergonomics are awesome, and in standalone you can pass it off

Most of ours where used the same way as the 203s, mounted to our M4s. Now your M4 is just way bulkier and heavier than a 203 equipped M4 with no noticeable difference in performance.

Hated standalone too because when it’s not being used it’s on a sling banging all over the place while on patrol. Most guys just put them on their backs or on/in their rucks/assault packs. When it came time to use it you had to take off your shit or have someone else do it instead of just being ready to go, which is why most mounted them to their rifles.

As a light infantryman, 203 was way better.

the holster is a game changer

if you run into that problem again of not having a holster: a fastex buckle to attach it to your armor and a piece of bungee cord to keep it from flopping around

To my knowledge and all the people in the clone groups nobody has ever seen one ITW.

But a solid rail still.

I know its shown on one of the powerpoints as a rail that was in competition for the next gen free float when they switched to the winning RISII.

Had great luck with them in the past.

Here recently - not so much. I’m still waiting on some items over 2 weeks now. Long story short I ordered an A1 stock and the buttplate was cracked/broken, ordered a side sling swivel and it was the old .625 only model. Was told it would be fixed, haven’t seen them or heard back.

I had a new one issued in 2003-2004.  AF TACP.  No pics of the light though.  I only put it on for night OPS.  Thing changed the balance of my M4 so much.
ETA: It was issued until 2010-2011.  When they offered the SF 600U I traded the 951 in.

Thanks. For some reason I had in my mind that it was right around the same time as waffle stock issue, (late '01-early '02)?

I know that they were issued for a spell but didn't know that it was as late as 2011. Always thought those would have been the second gen without the fat body.

You know what's funny is that my dad has an unintentional "clone" identical to this (with the exception of not running a PEQ). He wanted a truck gun and picked up bits and pieces here and there over the years at yardsales and stuff and ended up with an identical setup. I think the only thing he bought at retail was an extended A2 flash hider. Including the CQ/T he's probably in it for less than $800
