Thanks man, I just got it from ADCO and I haven't even tried it out yet, but its a DD CHF with Mid-length gas system.
I told him to leave the gas port alone, should cycle fine with the suppressor....I hope!

My take on the modern A1: BCM lower, BCM lightweight mid-length barrel and bolt carrier group. She is one sweet little lady....

Since it has a F marked front sight I had to lower the front sight post down a bit into the well. One click of left windage was all she needed.

Lancelot: Nice. Any issues sighting it in?

I had also read where it could be a problem depending on tolerance stacking on some guns, resulting in burying the front sight in the FSB.

I anticipated this by milling .056 (two revolutions) off the top of a FSP and installed it in my F height CMMG mid-length. It zero'd at 10 clicks down from flush or two and a half revolutions while maintaining easy access to the notches on the post.

I am also really liking the MOE fixed carbine stock on mine. Simple, strong and the same LOP where I keep my collapsible stocks set at.

Have you had any issues with the lack of feed ramps in the upper?

Not one bit. She has run 100%. I've always read that it is OK to have the larger M4 feed ramps in the barrel extension and not the receiver, but not the other way around.

My old XM16E1 (which is probably posted some pages back). It's since been parted out and sold. Quite a few original, period correct parts in that one.

A1/M4 hybrid built as a truck gun in 2004.

Almost entirely Bushmaster other than the LMT stock and handguards and CMT BCG.

The 3-Point octopus sling was replaced with a Vickers 2 point.

Just finished this build and rattle canned it today. I haven't even removed the painters tape yet.

I've been wanting to build a modern A1 carbine for several years now. Super excited to get it out and shoot it.

Shot 3. Flipped one out if the water. Ended up shooting cans and bottles for the most part.

Got my newly built A1 middy out again yesterday. I put on a A2 front sight aperture and I like it much better for what I'm doing with it. Way faster target acquisition for me. I'm really enjoying shooting with iron sights again. After 300 rounds t's run flawlessly and is an absolute joy to shoot.

My only gripe is brass is being ejected at the 4-5 oclock position and I'm a lefty so today I have blisters on my face from getting hit with brass all morning. I'm going to try a heavier buffer and see if that helps. I think I only have an H3 in my parts bin so I might need to buy one.

Current A1 carbine, will be going to a 20" pencil barrel.

Colt SP1 again....

Spec-Ops Brand mag pouch and sling. Israeli style attachment with paracord on the FSB. Magpul handguard with no name LED 100 lumen light. Swapped out the trigger guard.

Will eventually be swapping the light with a Primary Arms light with tape switch.

Don't know if this counts.

GWACS CAV-ARMS MKII Lower with BCM Pencil Barrel Upper. Rear sight is a Daniel Defense A1.

Changed my mind (from a couple of posts above).  Keeping the A1 carbine as is, except for swapping the ACOG with an Armson OEG.

I can't even remember if I posted this one before or not. A1 slickside, Bushmaster 1/7 chrome lined LW barrel assy on a CavAid lower.

I will go ahead and repost its bigger brother. SP1 with Lone Star front furniture.

ETA: Hah! I went back and found both on the first page. Oh well.
