Rarely on SOF guns anymore.  Everyday on big Army M4s however they are not Block II, they're still on Block I.

I wanted to do this on my clone but since the pics of team guys running strike eagles on Geissele 1.93 mounts surfaced,  I figured I'd just do that for less than half the price of the Leupold M110 scope/mount setup

Is an EXPS3-0 correct for a block 1.5?  Does it matter if it's tan or black?

Any pics of them mounted on a block 1.5 in the wild?

$674.99 - 10% FN5 code = $607.50 - 6% cashback from AJ = $571.05 which is close to what some people want for a new M4A1 RIS II rail alone. Sell the DD upper and barrel w/gb for $250-$300 and you get a rail below cost.

Yes, plenty of pics of them out there. Especially with SEALs. Recently a photo of a black EXPS3-0 surfaced, but it was with a recon Marine. Tan ones are whats part of the sopmod package and recon carbines are not, from my understanding, apart of the sopmod program. Head over to the the block 1, 1.5, 2 thread and those photos are on the most recent pages.

Thanks for the heads up, I gotta look at the funds right now. My car is in the garage with a coolant leak.......Damn responsibilities

Just checked AJ and there offering only 4% back instead of the 6%

Sorry for the double post

Does Brownells do anything higher then a 10% off coupon?
Link Posted: 2/22/2019 7:40:56 PM EDT
[#10]
Brownells will sometimes offer what amounts to more than 10% off, but it will be a tiered discount like $20 of $175+, $30 off $250, or something like that. Kind of a small bump up from their usual $20 off $200, $30 off $300. I don't think I've ever seen it get up into the $500 or $600 realm, which you would need with an expensive item like an URG to make it a better deal than their 10% off.

Well I decide to take the plunge!

Ordered a DD M4A1 FSB upper for $607.50 + 4% back from AJ (hopefully, never used it before so we'll see)

Can't wait for it to get here!

Got the block II sighted in with the Vortex Razor. I’m a big fan. First time out with the Geissele SSA-E as well

Took the KAC Taupe 99051 and 2-6m off for the CQBR that’ll be using an EXPS3-0 as soon as it comes in

Head's up guys, I used code JYN @ Brownells to purchase the DD M4A1 w/ FSP for a total of $611.45. I'll sell the barrel and the stripped upper receiver and with that I'll get a decent deal on the DD RIS II FSP.

Here's a screenshot:

A question of y'alls opinion: Do you think I'll come out on top with a decent deal on the rail?

“Close enough for government work”, adjective.  Indicative of something being within a given tolerance when prepared per standards and measured per other applicable standards.
Example:
“Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with a piece of chalk, then cut it with an axe.  That’s ‘close enough for government work.’”

I actually used this as a parable when teaching quality assurance.  It got folks’ attention.

Been on sale at 674 for at least a couple months. At least once a week there’s a 10% off coupon to make the deal even sweeter. Today’s code is ve4. Only good for a couple more hours. I’m in the same boat. Already got a fsp upper but I want a non fsp too. Figure I better get it sooner than later.

I was going to guess the BFA was a “suppressor-simulator/BFA,” but leave it to SureFire to make it a cool BFA.

Non M4 question about the kit these guys are wearing: Are the headphones part of the helmet, or is the helmet designed around some MIL-SPEC aircrew headset?  Just curious...
