@Combat_Diver

Can you please get pics of the FN SOCOM profile barrels used, particularly rollmarks/engravings?

Cheers

If a 10% code comes out this week, I am probably gonna get one or the other.

Not worried about it, I mentioned I was off.  I'm can take criticism.  I've got other things on my mind too.  Had another friend killed last week in Iraq.  Google Rick Rodriguez, he was my counterpart in Iraq where we worked together in 16'.

Don't know how FN makes them but since they are the manufacture I wouldn't say they are cut down from 14.5" and then remarked.  How they manufacture them is up to them.  They are new barrels.

Mostly finished up the Block II. The AFSOC Block I-ish still needs an optic.

The Block II is all Colt; M4-marked factory lower, a Socom factory upper (cage code receiver and barrel), and c-marked BCG

Threw a MK6 1-6x20 on the Block II. Still gotta grab a front sight, and decide on a light. Inb4 “it’s not a correct optic”. I don’t like the Razor reticle.

I don't have any pictures, but I'm 87% sure I saw one of a bock II downrage, could have been a Mk8 though. But I think not because I remember seeing it beside a Mk8 they had on a SCAR 17. (Spent deployment to Afghanistan on outposts supporting ODAs--I am not SF).

My BN has Mk6s for the Scout PLT's M4s. So they are out there being issued to units.

Keep in mind though I also saw a Vortex PST II 1-6x on an M4 and I also saw two Noveske N6s and a PWS 7.62 gun in use, so they had all kinds of off the wall non-issued guns and optics.

So I have a question for all you gear nerds. So I was reading that the M3X, WMX200, M620V, M600C, and M720V were all part of VBL-III and Block II accessories. So why is it that only the M3X and WMX200 are issued on the SOPMOD's? Also what were the other lights issued on? I snagged a M620V for a decent price on the EE and shamelessly plugged it on my incomplete Block II. I started trying to research the history because I was curious. I read that the M620V was an in the wild thing, which is fine. It will hold me over for now and get me in the NV game eventually, but the enigmatic history of all these weapon lights has me intrigued now.
