That makes sense I guess...its been on the EE for a while...like a long while lol...and 4k for the Leupold, theres alot better glass out there for alot less $...I plan on picking up a Mod 0 clone with the tax return but I dont need that much of a clone lol...if I cant find a nice one here on the EE, I'll probably order one from PRI or somewhere along those lines...thanks for the info

4k for an older leupold can get you several mk6's.  or hell even a couple US Optics rifle-toppers.  to this mustelid, half that asking price would be a much more reasonable one, but they shouldn't expect to get the full 2k.  4k is one of those "well....i wish you the very best of luck in finding your buyer good sir"

I mean if it's legit used by SF does it really make it worth 2k?

The wheeled flip up front site gas blocks on PRI's website are later reproductions of the original front site gas blocks that are very limited in numbers.

What's scarier is in one scene it has a full ARMS#38.... in another, it's cut off where the handguard meets the receiver. Sure hope that was an airsoft or similar prop rifle...

It's tech so we can't post memes, but if we could, I'd post one of a gif captured from the video to "jizz in my pants" by lonely island.

Does anyone know how the military zeroes the mk12? I’m sure mk262 is used. Is it done at 100 meters, 200 meters, some other distance? Do they lap their scope rings? How do they level their scope? Do they do anything special worth mentioning or anything that would make the optics more robust, e.g. loctite?

I recently got an hcs mk12 mod 1 upper and took it shooting.  I was pleased with the preliminary results. I’d like to begin setting it up correctly.  Your help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Well.

Egg planted firmly on face.

Foot placed Riley Reid-esque deep in mouth.

I *DID* get a couple sub MOA groups back on New Year's Eve with the Holland fellas.

One was a 77 SMK load, 22.9 grains of RL15, 2.260", group came in at .958".

IMG_20190109_205040_690 by Armed Ferret, on Flickr

The other was with 68 Hornady BTHPs, and 24.9 grains of RL15 also at 2.260", group was just a cunthair under .9 (.898) so it's easier to just say .9 inches.  (and yes, that really is a 5-shot group )

IMG_20190109_205040_692 by Armed Ferret, on Flickr

And it turns out CTC on the other RL15/77SMK loads were in the 1.1-1.3 inch range, so not AWFUL of course, just not the small groups other rifles have shown me I'm capable of.

But honestly....under 1.5 for a rifle I'll likely never fire past 500 yards, I'd be okay with.  I'm gonna try right at 23.0/23.5/24.0 with the 73ELD and see what happens, since they're a fair bit longer than the 77.  Go from thar.
