For the seasoned Mk12 vets....if it's not an Ops Inc manufactured and marked can, which of the clones would you go with?

I just "found" 1K of LC brass in the bottom of closet I got like 10+ years ago. Anyone care to share a sure fire load for 77gr SMK or 69'rs with me? PM if you don't want to put out there. I get it.

There is a reloading section that just had this topic: https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/Powders-for-77gr-SMK-/42-534580/ Personally I just use Accurate 2520, because I was able to get a bunch and it's reasonable precise if the rest of your variables are controlled. |

View Quote Like others will tell ya, depends on your barrel and there are a ton of threads on it that would be more appropriate for exact results and methods. FWIW : 24.0 grains with a 2.250 COAL put me at 2715 fps. I went a little under matching the black hills 2750 because when I got exacts on crimp amount and head spacing, I was under 1/2” with 10 round group. Where I’m going with that, there’s a lot more to it than shoving powder in a case. |

Heading out to pick up my OCM5 tomorrow, my E-file came back and might have a Mod H coming back with me seeing as I haven't been able to build my Mod 1 yet that I bought the can for.

In particular when I took the A1 stock off the mod 1. But then I remember it's summer in Texas and the garage is misery, so I wind up telling myself that I'll get around to it later. . Most likely will get another GM lower sometime to replace the BRN the H currently sits on. Eta: I really like the Socom stock. It's been Jerry rigged in place so it doesn't adjust. Thing is rock solid and it lines me up perfectly for the scope. Yet another couple hard to find items a particular someone on this forum helped me with. I honestly haven't tried a Sopmod stock with the H yet. I ran a CTR prior to getting the Socom and just haven't tried a diff stock since./shrug |

View Quote KG Gunkote (can't remember the number for the tan off top of my head). If rattle can, Krylon or Rustoleum khaki will do it. The Krylon khaki is a tad brighter than the rustoleum, but it won't matter if you do a very light shade (basically like overspray) of dark earth brown or forest green over it. The overspray method really helps darken down the khaki while also blending in other colors. I think some tan SPR's were done with the KG Gunkote though. Hunterex would know the specific part number of it I'm sure. He told me recently and I wrote it down instead of putting it in my phone ETA: OG SPR's that were done in Gunkote were FML tan. And they look fantastic. |

Anyone got any safe queens with a kac ras on it that they want to unload to a home where it will get used a lot? I just wanna build a NSW recce and just need a dumb rail. Not looking to build multiple 18” guns here.
Buy or may even be willing to deal a trade with an AEM5 (@ MSRP values) or possibly some wingless arms accessories off my personal Mod 0 that I’ve never seen on this sight but a few times and to the right connoisseur. Feel free to DM me if so and we can chat. |
