I have a middy on order with the BAR.

Kind of an odd poll... Spike's makes some of the lowest-priced equipment on the market.

for the record, I think it looks badass

I have the M4 16" CL CHF Carbine upper, works great, as for the looks you really don't notice the spiders, unless you just looking for them. great uppers at the best price, Hard to go wrong with that.

I'm wondering if I call if they will replace the FSB with low profile one and put on the 12in rails. Just called and ordered my lower and they were super nice

I love the look of the stainless barrel but the only one they have is an 18' and 7.5

They offer a good value for your money. I prefer to build my own though.

I like the upper. I cant stand fat handguards though (KAC, MI, YHM). It looks like the Spikes are pretty wide. I wish they had designed them to be oval shaped like DD and LaRue.

Exactly, and it's been discussed here time and time again how good Spike's is, but yet, threads of this sort continue to pop up.

The BAR rail is a work of art…
Excellent design and execution!!!!
Its light weight, stiff as hell, easy to install and provides a comfortable grip even without rail covers…
+1 on the longer rail and low pro gas block.

Since aesthetics seems to be the overwhelming theme of your poll, you should buy the absolute cheapest upper you can find with a decent finish.

Yes they will but I recommend you have them do it and put the rail on.

That pic makes me horny. Just sayin.

I just got that 16' upper last week. Took to the range this weekend and the negative thing was I feel I need optics to fully utilize this beauty. Shot like a dream. Feels great. Balanced.

Damn sexy.

Yes but they seem to function also which is like a bonus, but to AR Elitist they are shit!

I have the LE, on a Mega Gator lower and it seems GTG!

Can you get uppers (from Spikes) with longer barrel lengths built?

question: does the "BAR rail system" completely free float the barrel? thanks!
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 1:57:53 PM EDT
Pretty sure since it's one piece.
