So I'm planning on ordering a barrel today for my build...I want shoot ruffly 300yrd but keep the barrel at 16". This gun will be a general purpose rifle...I'm not looking to set records as it's my first ar....I want a quality barrel but I don't want to spend $2000 on my build either! The yhm I'm general looks to be a quality company but I noticed the prices on the barrels is really decent:-).

I don't care about weight...just quality vs price...

I'm at a cross road between bcm or yhm....yhm being cheaper has me nervous as I don't see many threads about them....bcm I know is good to go;-)

I have two YHM barrels, both diamond fluted, one 16" and one 20". Great barrels for the price, shoot great too. No worry with the YHM barrels.

What kind of groups you hold from a bench at 100yrds?

Ok sweet deal...I'm not a cheap person at all but if I can get a good barrel at a more affordable price, AWESOME!

I personally don't care for the look of the diamond flute but i can get it without:-).

Thanks y'all!

Does anyone know where to order a complete YHM rifle?

I have a buddy who is looking at them, but can't find a vendor / distributor for them.

I've not dealt with them personally, but they come higly recommended as THE vendor for YHM.

I beleive that YHM uses Shaw barrels now, which seem to be pretty good. Cold Hand Arms in OKC is a good place to buy YHM stuff............................DJ

Love my YHM, good people to. Shoots great and I'm a bit tossed on the flutting lol just know you will need a clamp on gas block, most YHM barrels are not drilled for pins

Also check out Primaryarms.com, fast shipping and amazing customer service. Also jsesurplus.com is another good vendor who I have used many times in the past.

So I ended up buying the non fluted yhm 16" barrel....already had plans to use a low pro gas block as I want the handguard to cover it.

Thanks yall!
