Productive day today.
Both the irons and Trijicon MRO on suppressed EVO3 S1 are now zeroed for Federal HST 147 gr at 25 yard. Fine tuned the suppressed Colt 727 and now poa is poi at 300 yard with both the irons and Aimpoint M3. Even managed to hit the 2’x3’ plate at 600 yard consistently using M855 and red dot with ~10 moa hold above the target.

Backing them up is a nice wall hanging my late Mom left me.  Here’s a Bulgarian AK74 I assembled. I made the window plantation shutters.

The later XM4 had the double heat shield handguards, 4 position stock, and M4 feedramps, so one item of interest is if the first M4s were just like that but with the M4 Carbine roll mark with the Wxxxxxx SN. There is a problem with assuming the original configuration of that Serial Number W00004XX. It has been through at least one rework to upgrade it to an M4A1 and had the upper replaced. It probably left the factory with a fixed carry handle. All I can say is anything made before July 1994 probably left the factory with a fixed carry handle. |
