What is the proper mount for the aimpoint m2 and are they available anywhere?

QRP. (not QRP2) If you're going for an issued M4 look.

Check the EE.  That's where I got mine.

New to an AR, new to the forum, and new to working with camo painting too.

I recently picked up an older Del-Ton DTI 15...it has been modded and painted, but I have decided to make it "mine."

I just learned how to disassemble one of these for stripping and painting...Citristrip is fantastic!

The first pic is how I got it and the second is after I stripped the paint off and put it back together one afternoon.

I also got my paint scheme on it later that day too, but I am waiting on FDE parts to replace the black grip, stock and removing the foregrip for a low profile endstop type.

Third pic is part way thru the transformation...the black MOE parts are OK, but not what I want.

Will post a final pic after the parts arrive in a week or so.

Working on my pseudo M4 clone, couldn't find decently priced RAS without someone getting to it first, so I snatched up a Midwest Industries quad rail which looks close enough, for now at least. Snagged the PRO off another rifle. Now I just need a KAC VFG.

Primary Arms has a sale going on for more genuine sopmod stocks.  Not the Bravo.  If you are interested.  60 bucks.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that still rocks the m4 look. I've been told the 16 inch bbl with the fixed front sight. I beg to differ. I just like the iconic look. I have a colt le 6920 I got a few months ago, a smith and Wesson mp sport 2 last year and I'm getting a spikes tactical st-15 le carbine. It's an addiction.

Not only you're not alone, but I feelz it's a trend that won't stop - if anything, the opposite, especially from many of us who are a little older.

I, for example, just bought another M4 (a Colt M4A1-marked, somewhat of a rarity because a Colt M4A1 marked lower has been out of production).

I am just waiting on the DROS 10 days period and then she'll be mine oh mine.
M4s are just awesome and the entirety of the US military (all branches) are actually moving towards it.

I realize that the more advanced and futuristic some AR15s are getting (which is good), the more I love the classics.

So this one's gone back to the bones - really - brought her back from Block I status to KISS.
She's going to stay like this for a while. Light and pretty.

She's an all Colt and Specialized Armament Warehouse pinned barrel to 14.5 plus their special flash hider in order to look similar to the military ones - plus some optimizations. SAW is Colt's custom shop, essentially.

Honestly never thought I'd have a gun with an m4 profile barrel again but this just so happens to be one.

Painted it today.

I took advantage of the Damage Industries sale and replaced the standard buffer with an H buffer. I also installed a side sling swivel.

I succumbed to all the desert color schemes and experimented on a lower.  I'm not sure I like it.  Seems too light.  That is Krylon Khaki.    Although the second pic does show if I my house got broke into I could pull a rambo by painting my whole gun and body this color and lay on the garage floor.    And then pounce when they don't see me.  Only problem is I pretty much used it up and that stuff is like 15 years old.  Not sure if they still carry that same color.  I've looked and not sure I've seen it.

It'll probably darken up over time and use and CLP running onto it.

Fuggles , i just jumped into the AR world after owning many AK's. The Russian situation made me worried that cheap 7.62x39 ammunition could be gone at the stroke of a pen. I'm really loving my 6920. I like the fact that I can have military grade quality in a 6920. The AK is harder to procure at a high level of quality.

My primary bang stick....

Colt LE 6920 (M4)

Latest iteration of my carbine. There's a ACOG TA31CH on my desk for it aswell, and maybe a Geiselle trigger and Surefire FH in the future.

So Is this the m4 clone thread?  I've been looking for one like the 10.3" cqbr page.  I want to know the appropriate and acceptable parts for the clone specs...  Both Block 1 and 2.  If they are in this thread, can someone point out a page #?

Here is my new SOCOM M4A1.  I just bought a Surefire M900 off EE for it.
