That's basically what I did. I go back and forth but the SOPMOD is always my go-to.

This is the truth

75% of my builds have sopmods and 25% have CTRs (for lighter weight builds). Probably going to get another sopmod for a lower I'm finishing up. The only other stock I'd like to try is the Lancer carbon fiber A2 fixed just for the heck of it.

Truth.  That is one sweet looking blaster.  Looks like it has kicked butt and taken names all over creation.  Not really sure if that's true or not, but at least it looks like that.  And on Arfcom that means everything.

I dig the shorty's scoped.  Just something cool about that.

77gr pill

Loaded to mag length

Every gun shoots this load really well.  Never seen another load like it

Yeah, mine seems to like the 77's.  Black Hills and Federal.  So the Sierra bullet.  If you want close range the 52's are really good too.

Sort of late response, but... I just did this, and don't know of any others but I'm sure they're out there. The AE brake has no flat edges along the suppressor thread mounting surface where you can pin and weld, so I had my guy chuck it into the mill, and make a pretty flat spot within the threads where he could do the pin job. Came out clean, and the thread protector turns over the interrupted threads like they aren't there. AEM5 is currently in the shop waiting for me (no forms filed yet - just moved states)

Photo hosting is failing me. Sorry if they're coming up duplicated.

Here's my interpretation...

Finally done...  It's been a long process, but this gun is done. I actually put together the base together two years ago.  The scope, mount, sling and BCG were the last pieces.

50 Shades of FDE.  The mix of G and LaRue might cause autistic screeching if anyone in GD rolls in here. LOL

Aero Precision upper and lower
Wilson Combat 16" 1/8 Recce barrel (mid length)
WC adjustable gas block
Silencerco ASR brake (Specwar can not pictured)
BCM stock and grip
ALG 15" V3 Mlok rail
LaRue 104 mount
Trijicon Accupower 1-8
KAC microsights
Blue Force Gear/Vickers sling
BCM BCG
Geissele SSA-E trigger
Geissele Airborne charging handle
Geissele Maritime bolt catch

Thanks.  Hopefully taking it out this weekend to get the Accupower zeroed.  I also need to put the Geissele buffer/spring through its paces.

I'm doing a "three gun" in a few weeks: https://www.zombieinvitational.com/  Can't wait to run this "recce."

OK, so what are my options if I want my scope higher than normal height?  For years and years I've known I'd like it a little bit higher but never did anything about it.  I've got my scope in a Larue mount now and of course I LOVE that mount.  But it's too low.  I wish I would've known about the 1.93's when I bought mine.

I guess I could sell my current mount and buy a 1.93, or look for one used.  Only problem is both of my scopes I can mount are 1".   I don't really have the money to buy an all new military legit clone scope, although I really should get something with BDC or turrets.  But I'm just curious what good options are out there.  Cheap, not cheap, the whole skinny.

I remember there used to be a recce rail that wasn't as big as the ones you see on the Hollands.  It just hung over a little bit.   But I don't remember who made that.  Anybody know?
