Well, maybe not the best, but I was pleasantly surprised today with the accuracy of my M1S barrel

Specs:
M1S 16" Cro-Mo 1/9, carbine gas length, M4 profile
YHM 12" FF tube
POS Bi-pod (actually didn't even pull the legs down...)
unzeroed Aimpoint ML2
RRA/WOA tuned 2 stage trigger
Whole bunch of lavarock dust

Ammo:
WWB .223 value pack

Conditions:
70-80 yds.
Pretty strong crosswind
snow/sun/rain
20 oz. coffee, cheap cigarettes
Propped up on a mound of crumbly lava rock

Took a few tries to get in the black, but the 4 shots where made one after the other.
Since the ML2 is zeroed to my other upper, I was going more for consistency than anything...
Definitely the best group of the day - but we were not trying very hard either!

Damn it feels good after 7 years to finally have Saturdays off!!
I had fun today.

I have a M1S upper on my newest AR and finally shot it the other day. I shot 3 into the snow bank in front of me to make sure it would fire. Then I aimed at a twig about 50 yards in front of me and hit it first try. My EO Tech was bore sighted and I did not have to make any adjustments. I was very impressed...

Congrats on the day off....
