Alrighty guys, I just received my 12.0 rail from Boom's you guess it, win it game.  Once again, huge thanks to all involved, the rail is really nice (has a small nick on the top front, but who cares?!?!) and LaRue was nice enough to send a hat and a field survival device (bottle opener) too.  As a college student, you can never have enough bottle openers... Now, my question is what to build with the said rail.  I want some sort of semi-precision type upper, but once again, I am on a college student budget.  I was looking at Noveske and the 13.7'' Infidel as well as the 14.5'' Afgan appeal to me.  I want something that will still be compact, yet reach out to a good distance if call upon.  I also have only around $2k for this rifle including optic, and everything.  Let me know how you would allocate my resources... I really need a financial planner to help me with my gun purchases... lol.

Get rid to the 12.0 for a 9.0 and put it on a mid-length BCM upper.  It will be 400 for the upper, 130 for the BCG, 20 for the CH, and that leaves just barely enough to get a lower and an ACOG.

my only gripe is that I want to keep this guy, he's grown on me, I was orignally planning on selling him and using the money to buy an AK parts kit, but naw...

JK no seriously, I like having the extra real estate, and there's less barrell sticking out to burn me, and I can use the extra rail as a support on baricades and stuff.

ETA: I hope my summer job pays well...

hmmm those BCM uppers look nice and since I'm going to PLC next summer (not this one, damn jaw injury) I might get myself a LaRued A4gery... what say ye?

BCM 20'' A3 upper
Tango Down VFG
CMT MPI bolt + carrier
CMT charging handle
Complete RRA lower with A2 stock

only one question... which ACOG? and will I be able to afford it, I mean the above should cost around 900 or so.

The BCM complete Middy uppers are all gone. You can still get the stripped barrels though.
