From all I saw, the RRA .308 is the same rifle as the Bushmaster .308. It used a FAL mag, had a bolt release/lock like the M96 Recon rifle, and used a nively designed ambi charging handle. Bushmaster stopped production of this gun after only a year or two. the company themselves said they dropped it to keep up with the high demand for their 5.56 guns, some others will tell you it was because the .308 was not entirely reliable. While it is true Bushmaster has their hands full keeping up with demand for their 5.56 rifles, it us also true that reviews here of their .308 was a mixed bag.
Did Rock River Arms get it right? Time will tell. |

The RRA rep on this board (forget the name) claims they have fixed the bolt breakage problem BM was plagued with. I'm going to wait and see...

Problems I read and have seen were all feeding. Hopefully those have been fixed as well.

I had a 16" BAR-10. I didn't have feed problems, although I really didn't fire that many rounds total. I DID, however, have one fractured (read: broken) gas ring after the first range session. I didn't notice it until I was cleaning so it apparently functioned at some point after the actual breakage. I ended up selling it because the ring-thing made me leery as well as the non-chrome lined barrel didn't strike my fancy (I'm a big "go chrome or go home" fan).
