I'm having a hard time finding anything to put on the end of my next build. What is out there for the 6.8 in flash hiders/ brakes/ compensators? And where can I buy them? Trying to get everything ordered so I can build this thing in the next few weeks.

Email Wes @ MSTN.biz. The MSTN QCB (brake) works well on a 6.8SPC. Also, the OPS INC 2-port Mil Brake works almost as well. But good luck in finding one.

I got mine from Wes specify the 6.8. Mine is stainless finish and has QCB 6.8 engraved on it.

The standard A2 flash hider has a large enough through hole for the 6.8. Smith Enterprises 308 vortex's work well too. I have installed a couple MSTN QC brakes, but they crack my ears pretty good for some reason. I prefer the vortex.... but you need to research it thoroughly if you go with something not mentioned.

Thanks for listing those choices.

Does the MSTN QCB actually reduce the recoil at all? Also, I don't know much about brakes in general, will a brake affect the velocity of the round?

whats the opinionon the ops inc brakes as far as effectiveness and noise is concerned?

the mstn is probably the nicest functioning brake without making that much noise like the others.

I got the Smith Enterprises AR-15 muzzle break and had it rethreaded. It's not hardended or anything so it was easy to do. Haven't shot it yet, but it should work well.

I use a Phantom .308 Flash Supressor as my 6.8 is threaded in 5/8-24.

Who sells the Phantom for the .308? All I've found are ones for the 5.56. I need one for my next build & didn't want to go Vortex. Thanks!
