For low mounts, I too would recommend Badger's TacLatch Gen1.

I run the Badger Ordance Gen-1 latch on both my Bushmaster M4A3 and my Armalite AR10-A4. The AR10-A4 has a very low mounted Leupold scope and the B. O. Gen-1 was the best way to get a hold of the charge handle. I "dressed" the catch notch on both latchs rounding them and so far I have had no wear problems that people talk of and they work great......YMMV.                   Trapfan.

Had the Badger latch, but it got hung up to often so I switched to the PRI big latch and all my snagging problems went away.

+2 on the PRI. I have two AR's with optics and the PRI M84's w/ the "Big Latch" is almost mandatory....

Will only use PRI latches.  Love the GasBuster.

I've got the Badger on mine and have been quite happy with it.

Have a tach latch and hate it!  Snags on everything and pokes me in the gut when slung.  Might be okay for rigs with optics in the way, though...

I like the Badger and PRI products on all ARs. It helps with rapid manipulations--I can use my palm instead of my fingers.

PRI was good to go on my end...  I thought the Badger stuck out a bit too much for my tastes... kept getting snagged...

I put an Ameetech (http://www.ameetecarms.com/) on my PRI Gas buster. I like it alot. Works great with my scope.

Any specifics on what you did?

TigerStripe, I took a fine file and emery cloth and lightly took some of the sharp angle off the notch and kinda "rounded" it. Some have said that the catch notch would dig too much stock out of the upper latch pocket when the charging handle was pulled to the rear. I have also read that Badger Ordance has adressed this problem and all Tac Latches now do not have this problem. I just tinkerd with mine for my own piece of mind. With my Bushmaster M4A3 I have shot a few 3-gun matchs and have not seen anything but normal wear. Hope this has taken care of your question.......Trapfan.

It does help me.  I have one (no longer installed) that did dig into my upper latch pocket.  I never did get to where I could use one hand to charge a round, but I didn't use it that much.  Thanks!

I have a PRI on my first AR that I recently bought.  It's easy to charge with only two fingers, yet it hasn't gotten caught on anything yet.  I like it.
