I did a search and couldn't find. How do I change the black followers with the new Mag Pul followers?

Use a flat head screw driver to pry the floor plate off be careful of the spring pressure.Wiggle out the spring and follower and the mag pul will slip right back in,green followers have to be played with but the mag pul lines up perfect with the bottom of the mag just look how the spring is attached to the old follower and do the same to the new one.

I never said to mess with the tabs..unless some ones retarded you can see where to pry from...under the angled part of the rear of the floorplate..who said anything about screwing with the tabsalso THE TABS ARE PART OF THE MAGAZINE NOT THE FLOOR PLATE.So be careful not to bend the tabs on the bottom of the magazine.

I use a phillips in the hole in the floor plate.
I can't imagine not using the hole in the floor plate, why make life harder?

Thanks guys. I'm a retired 19D but I can follow directions. I managed to change 10 mags to the orange Magpul followers. In 24 years of the army I used to just DX mags that didn't work. To clean them we would go to the AMSA shop and blow them out with an air gun. That worked really well and those that didn't work we would just DX. Thanks for the info.
