Oh, BTW.  GP and LWRC are in the final stages of merger and a new 11K sq ft manufacturing plant is setting up in Springfield VA.  Good news for those that want these.

Nice, actually very nice. How about a 16.5" (.mil measured) version for a POW? That I would bite on on a heart beat.

Barrel length is not an issue. 10.5, 14.5, 16.1 or even 12.5.

Considering that Hondo is literally just down the road a piece from me, I'd be very sad if they completely left Hondo.

And while "olive drab" and "sexy" really don't go together in my lexicon, that rifle sure does look good!

You're work, as usual, looks great, 48th.  I'm definitely keen on acquiring a "Hondo" lower just as soon as you get them to market.

So, when are you going to be selling those sexy lowers?

I would have to say ; thats probably the closest thing to a perfect AR ever built! This is what the big Army should buy.

Sweeeet. All I need is another idea in my head for another AR. I had just gotten the notion out of my head for a 6.8, now I may be back in the ballgame.

GP 6.8 SPC 10.5" 1/9.5 twist CB barrel

What does the CB stand for?

Classy Babe, Combat Bitch, Chromed Barrel.... ?

I'd love a properly dimensioned 20" CL, chrome-lined, barrel.

Dave S

BTW, who made the barrel?  The 1/9.5"  {with the addition of CB possibly meaning Chrome-Lined}gives me the willies.

Chromed Bore. All our chromed barrels are ER Shaw at this juncture and NO, they aren't undersized.

We are presently exploring new barrel materials, coatings, riflings etc. to get even more performance.

With a 16" barrel, the 6.8 hits real hard, 115gr @2,650fps.  The 10.5 gets about 2,400. With SSA ammo. Remnington is 150-200fps slower.
