I have 2 DPMS lower builds with various other quality parts that I would put against any project guns.  Fit and finish are perfect.  Forged 7075 al, good finish etc etc.  I dont understand all the "no" votes sans any reasons why.

What color is the furniture on the rifles or, are you talking about the respective folks that answer the phone. The young lady on the phone at DPMS sounds really pretty.

The real question should be, who has owned or currently own a DPMS rifle and would you buy another.  Some of these yes and no answers are comming from people who have never owned one.  I have owned 2, and I say for the price i paid, they are worth buying.  I would buy another one if a good deal came along.  I normally buy RRA though...

Yes on their forged, no on their cast lowers. That pic is funny as hell!
Link Posted: 2/28/2006 7:41:26 AM EDT

Aren't they all forged now?

I say for $644, buy a CMT / Stag...but if you want the DPMS for other reasons...why not?

There is nothing wrong with DPMS, it's good stuff.  Most of the fools telling you no, have no experience with them.

There is no RRA to say YES or NO to.   (Small point I understand.)

While maybe not my first choice, I would NOT say flat 'NO' to DPMS.

I have shot colt, bushmaster, rra, and dpms a lot.  I have liked something about all of them and found few things to pick about any of them.

I have a DPMS, fine fit and finish. Not to mention it is coated in a teflon moly black over the black parkerizing. My only gripe is the chamber seems a bit tight, its a CMP match chamber which is supposed to be a little tighter. But Ive heard DPMS is notorious for tighter chambers. But it does shoot fine.

Have/had 3 different rifles from them. Two AP4s and one Classic Sixteen. All were good to go.
