When is it? What year would you consider the birth of the AR?  I'd hate to pass up a momentus anniversary such as this one.

I think Armalite is past it's 50th birthday...  Do you mean the AR-15?

Either the AR as a concept (10) or the AR15. I realize the AR10 is what the AR15 derives from. ... but still isn't one or the other's anniversary coming up?  

We all know the 1911's anniversary is coming up.
