I have been wanting the redi-mag system for awhile, but I didnt like the fact that both mags drops when
the botton is pushed. Well now the genII system is out and both mags dont drop free, there is a botton
you push to take out the spare mag.

Tell me how you guys like or dislike them..............

rogue,
 I haven't owned a GenII, but I will assume it's
the version with built in bolt release.
My "GenI's" dropped the mags just fine.
You could adjust the AR mag release in or out to
"time" the release of the spare mag. I adjusted mine
so that the spent mag dropped first, then with more
finger pressure the spare mag would drop a little
later. This allowed the empty mag to clear out &
I could get a better grip on the fresh one, for
moving it over.

In re-reading your post, I'm wondering if you
have the built in bolt release confused with
"another" mag release.

I thought the Redi Mags were great, but with
2 mags the rifle gets pretty heavy, so I haven't
had one on in a while.

LMK if you need more help.

Johnny C!
