I'm currently looking for the best option for mounting my sling to my gun.  I have a FF picatinny rail that it must be attached to.  I have seen many of the options on the websites but would like to see the actual look on an actual gun.

So post'em if you got'em!

Thanks boys and girls!

Behold, the wave of the future.  This is THEE most advanced sling and mounting option there is.
I heard there was quite a crowd around this new sling @ shot show.
Here is a pic of it on my carbine.

You dirty bastard!

Next!

BTW - It must be mounted to the side of my FF rail because I have a Surefire Weapon light on the bottom rail.

Is that one of those new removable carry handles?!?!?!?!

ETA

Pics coming, waiting on my new camera.  I think you'll like.  Basically MI detachable mounts, one at front on rail towards the upper, one at single point sling mount position, with an IDF sling.  I love the set up.

New?  I don't know.  I didnt want the tactical handle, so I swapped it for this one when I bought my upper.  It has a little RRA logo on the handle just in front of the sight.

I don't think it's the NM handle, but the elevation wheel does go to 600.  (6/3..z..4..5..6/3, I think that means 600 all the way up, 300 all the way down)

sorry for the hi-jack

For my railed AR I use a MidWest Industries side sling mount on the rail with a Spectre Sling.  Click here--second one down

I also happen to use the first one listed on that page on other AR's.  It puts the sling to the side, but since you are free floating it would be lame to put a sling on the side of the barrel.

" Can ya'll post pix of your wife/GF's rack?"

I'm getting my girl a new set and curious which would look best.

thanks!

seriously................

I use the single-point MOUT, or just the traditional sling. Here is the MOUT. Note the quick-release buckle...

Note the high speed zip tie used in pic 2...
I think this is the giles wilderness sling.  It was sent to me on deployment and I love the crap out of it.  It velcro wraps arround the hand guard and butstock and has a tab that loops through the sling swivles for added security.

Thanks for the pics so far guys.  I've got the one end of my sling attached near the butt plate and the other end is currently attached to nothing.  I need something to attach to my picatinny rail.  On the bottom part of the rail I have a Surefire M900A.  So the attachment will have to go on the side of the FF rail.

Here are a few items that I have found.  I would appreciate any other ideas that might be more aesthetically pleasing.

More aesthetically pleasing how?

I use the one this one and it has worked well for me:

I have a YHM swivel sling mount on my rail.  A barrel mounted side sling defeats the purpose of free floating nor is my front sight pinned in place.

Have any more pictures of the rail section?  It looks pretty good but I can't see it very well.  Thanks!

Now that they are out...I guess it's okay to talk about them.

Daniel Defense just came out with some really nice ones.  Check them out at their home page.  I'm going with the third one from the top.  Here is a picture.

I'm so not tactical, but it can be slung across my chest or across my back with no problems.
