Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Gas Tube Help

I recently assembled an Ar and am having one hell of a time with the damed gas tube roll pin.  I've broken 3 of them so far and i do not have a punch set.  Any suggestions on improvising?  I purchased a 1/16" punch from Ace Hardware, will that work?.....Thank you for your time......

Are you trying to get the pin in or out? If in, try using a nail set to get the pin started. The curvature of the nail set will help it stay on top of the pin.

Yeah, the 1/16" punch is what you need.
