Anybody with a Bushmaster Varminter shoot soft point 55 grain bullets?? I am thinking about buying one but don't want any feeding problems with soft point bullets. No, I don't care to shoot anything else. I like my softys

I've got one and have shot 52grain to 77 grain.  No malfunctions of any kind.  I usually shoot 69 grain.  The rifle shoots more smoothly with 50-60 grain.

Woops, misread your post.  Never tried soft points, just ballistic tips and hollow points...

I ran 200 rnds of AmmoMax (ikk) Softpoints, and 40 of winchester  through my BM Varminter, and have had ZERO issues.  Actually, it has eaten everything I have fed it so far.  My best experince with factory load ammo is Winchester Whitebox 45gr stuff, accurate as heck.  Runs so fast though that it sheds it sheds part of its jacket and leaves a neat 'ring' around the impact point at 300yds ;)
