of Winchester .223Rem.

Now the question is, do most ranges allow full metal jackets? I thougth one around here didn't.

I really hope so, because this stuff is damn cheap to play around with.

Most ranges require lead bullets with NO jacket!

Do they make the value packs in anything other than FMJ?

A lot of people use those rounds and like them.

As for fmj, you gotta check with your ranges. Most indoor ranges do not allow fmj rifle bullets because they tear up the back stop. May be the same for outdoor ranges with shorter distances. However, most outdoor ranges that use large earth berms as backstops usually don't care if it is fmj or not. Like gplg said, check with your hometown forum or just call you local ranges.

Police range says....Restricted ammunition is as follows: No steel core or armor piercing rounds; exploding or incendiary rounds; and no tracer ammunition. Range safety personnel reserve the right to inspect rounds to preserve safety and range integrity.

I should be fine then

You don't need to use jacketed rounds indoors, it's not cold enough!

Up north you gotta make your bullets happy... Full jackets for all your 5.56 buddies...

Exactly! In Florida they'll probably let you use bullets with tank tops on them!

Indoors I have to use their ammo anyways so I'm not worried about it.

Yes sir. Local Wal-Mart

They only had one box at the time. I gotta go to another and get more.

It's like $7.75 or so. Winchester 55gr .223Rem FMJ.

Comes in a little white box of 40
