Hi to all,  I,m a new member here!
A good friend has an older Colt AR15 SP1 he wants to sell and we are trying to arive at a fair price.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
External apperiance in very good.  Have not fired the gun but nothing seems overly worn.  Serial number is in the low 9000s.  Has a  colt Sporter 3X scope mounted.  Also has a sling.  
I read on the M16 forum that early SP1's could have  an M16 receiver.  How could I tell and if it did would it be a problem?

SP1s run 800ish now, + the add ons.
