I'm getting a preban colt upper w/ flash hider and bayo lug in the mail, want to put a High standard lower with a collapsable stock on it to complete the rifle. Is this configuration legal in Ohio? I ask this because I come from the world of the AK-47 and I have to constantly play the 10-or-less game with the ATF.

It sure is, as long as you don't live in the city limits of Dayton, Cincinnati, Kolumbus, Kleveland, Toledo, and (I think) Akron.

The 10 or less game does not apply to American-made firearms.

Ohio has no state-wide assault weapons ban, but does have some in different cities.

Your best bet would be ask in the Ohio Forum
