It's begging for a LMT Crane stock but, I'd have to take away funds from my HK53 project...

Wilson brake? Where was your rifle?
Did the cops give it back to you already?

Why the fake flash suppressor?

Nice, now go get the crane and rid your mind of HK weapons

I got the carry handle chopped to work as a BUIS with the optic...

I'm only using the Wilson brake because of the restrictions in IPSC 3-gun competition.

I removed a real flash hider to put the wilson on...

I've got the same setup on another gun but, that one has an EOTech...

This way, you don't have to worry about BUIS springs wearing out or BUIS not fully extending to zero.

Once again, I had the carry handle chopped to be on the same rail as the Aimpoint.

I gave it to the smith for a few days.

The rifle is now co-witnessed...

Nice angles on the rifle, but it makes it hard to get your toes in the pics.

Ok, I'm curious. Why did you have to send the entire rifle off to get a removable carry handle cut down?

You better start looking for it again. All I see are yellow frogs, or did they eat it.

IPSC won't let you use a real flash hider?

Let arfcom host the pics on their photo server and we would all be able to see them.

I'm also wondering why a 'smith would need the entire firearm to chop a carryhandle??

Imageshack sucks...

I'm rehosting the pictures now...

My smith also pinned on the Wilson Comp and boresighted the optics and irons.

The set-screw on the Wilson did not do it's job well...

I don't have a good enough account to have access to the ARFCOM photo server.

In tactical class, they won't let you use a real compensator.

Flash hiders are fine but, the compensator must be a certain size or you will get bumped up to open class...

Most guys just do that themselves.  A few minutes with a dremel and some files and you're done.  There is even a How-to on The Maryland AR-15 Shooters Website.

But don't mind them I think it looks good myself - a clean/basic M4.  But if you really want that LMT just spend the $20 for the Add-on cheek piece from Command Arms.  It feels pretty good and should stand up to ISPC competition.  That way you'll have the feel of the LMT, but still be able to afford your HK-53.

I personally think my carbine looks sexier from low angles...
