newarguy has it right.  

LMT uses correct F front sight base = no need for taller front sight post.

Bushmaster uses non F (non milspec for flattop) FSB and sometimes requires the taller front sight post to funtion correctly as a band-aid.

+1 LMT has correct Mil-Spec F type front sight base, it's good to go.

LMT don't mark their FSB with the F stamps but they are the same as the ones with the F stamps.

I have a Defender 2000 16" M4gery.
