AK- "Your rifle can be used by any two bit nation's most illiterate conscripts to fight elite forces worldwide"

AR- "Your rifle is used by elite forces worldwide to fight two bit nations most illiterate conscripts"

Mosin- "Your rifle has fought against itself and won every time"

that was very funny stuff.

Especially the part about the accessories.

I own both. Each has different qualities. Both are fun to shoot. I hold my AR in higher reguard. It's smart to know both.

Scratch out "Moisin" and insert "Enfield", "Springfield", or "Garand" and you're still in the ballpark.

 SWEET!!!

There you have it. In the end, it is clear to any open minded inquirer, the Mosin Nagant is clearly the most superior weapon or all time, but the AR and the AK come out as a draw when compared side by side. Heh.

and thanks for the laugh, that was great!

I still have a big ole grin on my face

The only type of gun in the comparison that I don't have and have never shot is the Mosin Nagant. It seems like a serious, accurate, heavy duty weapon though.  Sadly, the only "old gun" I have ever shot was my uncle's WW2 CMP issued M1 Garand in 30-06.  After a day at the range with that puppy, I feel like I need a chiropractor!  Go from shooting that to an AR, and even I start saying things like "recoil, what recoil?".

Nagant's are pretty cool, recoil is pretty heavy though. I have an M44, it is fair on accuracy if I use Winchester rounds. The action is rough, sometimes it'll get stuck, hence the "badge of honor to cycle 5 rounds without a 2x4"

I read the author's reply to that question and he stated it was purposely placed on backwards to mimick A NYPD officer who was photographed with his Aimpoint mounted backwards.  The linky

The 91/30 has alot less recoil and less muzzle flash. Try using grease on your bolt and it will probably smooth out for you.

For those of us that own and love all 3, this speaks what we've known all along but haven't found the words to describe.  Funny stuff.  I've got a 91/30 and it doesn't recoil anymore than any other gun of the period, I've also got an Enfield No 4 Mk 1, an 03 Springfield and a Mauser K98 and they're all about the same.

It's 4:06 am right now and I think I woke up the house laughing.   I own several ARs and AKs and love them both but I might have to buy a nagant now that I think about it. Hell I could have 5 for the price of just the rail on my M4. Better yet I could buy 20 for the price of my Krink

....but that summoned a bellow out of Me that woke the dog in a barking fit!
