Can I see wear marks on the top of the chargining handle and the charging channel in the upper please? I am having some binding issues and I think they are related to breaking in.

Thanks.

All my AR15s get heavy wear marks after awhile, its part of the function, but nothing to worry about. Post a pic if you think yours is abnormal.

ETA- Wear on mine is more on the left side as I am right handed and push to the right as I charge the weapon.

If this is a new Bushmaster, I had a similar problem.

800x600 (little big) Showing the slight mod I made.

What it was doing before I modded. Where the charging handle was hanging/sticking essentially.

You know, I think all that did was artifically break it in. Hah. It has NO restriction now, slams into battery and everything nice now.

Sorry for the noob posts... just didn't want to watch money be wasted...

As long as you didn't take much off, you should be fine, but I would caution against doing much of that. Its ugly when it starts slipping.
