My brother-n-law wants to purchase a new Ar15. He wants an A1, Vietnam Vet. Not much of a shooter just wants one like he carried. Who sells them?

Select a Stock:
That may be exactly what he is looking for.
But for someone planning to shoot their AR, he may consider a more practical barrel, and even an upper receiver with the added benefit of forward assist and case deflector
Heck, he may have been in Nam in '72 or so and have used 'better' versions.
Only tell him the the lower receiver will look nothing like what he carried in Nam, the upper is a slick side and not the forward assist A1 type (because DPMS's forward assist type is a C7 not an A1), and if he in fact carried an M16A1 in Nam, the stock won't have the trap door the A1s had, or the bird cage flash suppressor
What these guys are peddling is far closer to the first issue Air Force M16, than an M16A1. If that's close enough for him, well and good. Just so he knows up front what he's getting
If you want one like that, just buy a real Colt SP1 on the EE. Then you have the correct lower as well. You can probably find a good condition, all-Colt SP1 for the same price as the clone with an incorrect lower receiver from Fulton.
The closest you're gonna get is a Colt SP1. Great rifle.
