I was reading in a Gun mag the other day under the new products section, that an AR15 manufacturer was producing a new 40 round magazine. Does anybody know who it is?

Nevermind,

I found it. It is Panther Arms and it is a 45 rounder.

At $89.95, they have done lost thier mind.

Good Lord, that's a lot of money for a 45 round magazine! Another thing, did you read the specs on that thing - "Fabricated from two 30rd box magazines"? That is one long ass mag.

Personally, I would purchase the H&K 30 rounders before I would purchase a DPMS 45 rounder. Either that or seven D&H 30 rounders with the magpul followers from 44mag.com roughly a buck more.

I thought those were NMHTG, or are magpul followers an optional upgrade?? And a 40 or 45rd mag is basically useless. If you want more than thirty, get a 90 rounder or a Beta...

According to the ad they are D & H.

EDIT: I agree that 40 or 45 rounds is useless for an AR mag. I still prefer 20 rounders for prone and bench rest shooting while I like the 30 rounders for general "all purpose" shooting.

You are correct. I don't know where I got that they weren't D&H...
