Center Industries Inc.*, Wichita, Kan., was awarded on Jan. 11, 2006, a $7,712,600 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for aluminum magazines for the M16 rifle/M4 carbine.  Work will be performed in Wichita, Kan., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2007.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 30, 2005.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-02-F-0022).

Okay Industries*, New Britain, Conn., was awarded on Jan. 9, 2006, a $6,232,800 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for Aluminum Magazines for the M16 Rifles and M4 Carbines.  Work will be performed in New Britain, Conn., and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2007.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 22, 2005.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-03-C-0009).

Alliant Lake City Small Caliber Ammunition Co. L.L.C.,Independence, Mo., was awarded on Dec. 22, 2005, a delivery order amount of $156,385,472 as part of a $166,205,917 firm-fixed-price contract for Small Caliber Ammunition.  Work will be performed in Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 5, 2005.  The Army Field Support Command, Rock Island, Ill. , is the contracting activity (DAAA09-99-D-0016).

Alliant Lake City Small Caliber Ammunition Co. L.L.C., Independence, Mo., was awarded on Dec. 5, 2005, a delivery order amount of $8,327,547 as part of a $9,820,445 firm-fixed-price contract for Packout of 7.62mm Armor Piercing Ammunition.  Work will be performed Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 5, 2005.  The U.S. Army Field Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-99-D-0016).

I'd think just the opposite.

We have already seen the going rate drop to the $10 range. And thats before the several million new ones get out.

and they will get out.
