Ok, this may sound silly.
Has anyone thought about dremeling or machining the slot on a semi selector lever so that it will
flip into the auto position as an added trick to a retro M16 project?

Sarco sells them, and i have one. It's an M16 selector tha'ts been dremeled to work as an AR15 selector. Does not work with an M16 anymore, but allows you to use the extra position.

Thanks for the info. I already had the dimple drilled in the AR15 selector with my 601 clone, wish I had thought of this before I had that done.

Could you post a link to it? I haven't found it on the Sarco site yet...

I'm about 95% sure what you are looking for is part number AR098 described as "AR15 Altered Safety" for $9.50. It's been about six months since I last looked into it, however, so you should give them a call.
