Will a PRI Steel Gas Block cover the 2 barrel marks of the remove front sight?

Or do I have to fix the 2 barrel marks where the front sight goes?

Thanks, I am debating between the MI 2 piece or MI Float design.

It must be late because I am so confused.

After you remove the front sight your barrel end up with 2 half an inch marks of where the front sight was and where the 2 pins were. You can see this in the Build forum in the installing your own free float post.

My question is if the PRI Steel Gas Block from Bravo Company USA is long enough to cover the 2 marks so that they are not visible after installing it.

Are you referring to the "marks" or the area that is not parkerized on anything but a colt?  Leaving the bare steel with the smaller gas block?  Because if its the bare steel that you are referring to as marks, you could always just repark the barrel.

Are you referring to the area circled in red?

Just have the barrel reparked, the "marks" are bare un-parkerized steel.

I just leave the unfinished part and FSB pin holes alone, they don't bother me none

Just use a LaRue gas block instead...  It's longer and covers those marks.

Thanks. I am going to find out who parkerizes barrels.
