how far exactly would u say i could hit a target out to. and what would be the best all around .223 round i could use to shoot the farthest out to.

I was talking with a guy who serves in 173rd ABN last week and he told me they usually shoot targets out to 300m without problems using M855 (62gr). of course he was not talking about 0.5" groups at 300m but they could hit human targets at that range.

someone here use his 16'' out to 600m

I ring a 16" gong at 300 yards all the time with my M4 setup with a TA01NSN ACOG.
