well just got home from ordering my new bushy

Bushmaster 16in Carbine with Bird Cage Flash Suppressor

Also get one of those 4 rail systems
B.M.A.S. 4 Rail Split Handguard for Carbine

Also told em to get me 1,000 rounds of 5.56, not to expensive but not crap, a first samco VFG( yes its not a tango down or one of those expensive ones, but i like it)

My dad also already got me a Eo Tech 552 and BUIS. Long story.

So how do you guys think I did? Any good reviews on the Rail system? i looked for some but i couldnt find any.

O yea and if your wondering im new to the AR15 world.

You did good, i love my bushmaster!! she will last you a long time!!

Ive got the bushy 16 inch with m4 contour barrel in the a3 config (flat top). I mainly shoot q3131 or m1993 through mine but ive also shott thousands of AE through mine, i have never shot wolf and dont plan on it. i have never had a failure with my gun ever since the day she was new!!

Sounds like you're well on your way to spending huge amounts of money on ammo.

For what it's worth, I've not read very many complaints about the BMAS handguards (made by Yankee Hill machine) at all. You've got a pretty good setup already. Just curious, but which BUIS did you settle on?

Also, I've never had a failure of any kind with my Bushmaster, either.

Congrats! Im guessing this is your first AR? Sounds like you're on your way to a horrible addiction. Where are you in PA?

Congrats!

Don't worry about Wolf ammo. It is good for cheap plinking and practice ammo.

BTW, AROKIE, are you on predatormastersforums.com at all?

Only difference between the BM and YHM handguards is the price.

Expecting a range report on your first AR.

Good luck.

I ordered a 16" superlight for my lower, currently on a Bushy M4A3 14.5 W/ perm phantom. Great gun, never failed at the range. Ever. I also got an Eotech 512 AA and 2000 rounds of imi ammo from wideners. A little late for Christmas, but I'll enjoy it all the same.

Hey i got question about these hand guards. Are they gonna be oval type guards like the ARMs SIR or are they gonna be regular circle type like a set of YHM or MI 4 rail system. Can someone enlighten me?

Sounds like you made out like a bandit! I got my BM M4A3 few months ago, an Aimpoint couple months ago, about 2k rounds and then it seems that the money dwindled. So many things to buy, so little money to spend!

Good luck on your rifle, post pics and range report!

I think the Bushmaster rail systems are YHMs.

Very nice choice, enjoy.

You might have saved some coin if you ordered it from an ARFCOM dealer instead of direct from Bushmaster.

But what the hell do I know.................
Link Posted: 12/27/2005 4:02:39 PM EDT
Should of bought a Colt AR.
Link Posted: 12/27/2005 4:19:49 PM EDT
Nice work! I'm just hoping you didn't order directly from Bushmaster at their inflated prices. I picked up that same rifle brand new for several hundred less at the local sporting goods store. Otherwise, you'll love the setup!

Congrats.

Brightflashlights will be your best bet for the handguards.
