This was another one of the reasons I chose to go with Bushmaster instead of Colt for a 20" A3.

either becuase colt is evil, or becuase all of thier guns are being bought up by the .mil

That is an insane price for that upper. No bolt, charging handle, carry handle...

I would build one up myself. Just my $0.02.

IIRC, Colt's .mil production only covers the M4. I don't recon they have enought .gov market for a 20" with all those nasty evil features.

I can't think of any LE department that is issuing a 20" A2/A3 right now. The lack of demand is probably the main reason.

If SAW, or another company wanted Colt to make a custom run of 20" rifles, Colt would do it. Evidently, the dealers don't see much sales potential in it either.

That's likely it. FYI they do have 20 inch full-autos in their military section.
