Picked up my RRA Entry Tactical w/EOTech Dominator mount late last Sunday PM. Took it home and cleaned it thoroughly (and promptly bought a handguard removal tool online after &^%%ing around re-installing it).

After my usual 50 hr workweek I finally got a chance to go shoot it - and the weather was a cloudy high 30s - which is mild for here. My son (20) and I went to a place he's been before on public land (Corps of Engineers) about 15 miles from home. Nice safe place to shoot with sand berms, etc. I was glad I have Blizzaks on my car since a portion of the road had no sanding and only minimal plowing. We had to walk through a few inches of snow from where we parked the car.

We set up a target stand with a silhouette about 25 paces away and took turns making small holes in the paper. I adjusted elevation a couple of times, but didn't need to touch the windage. We shot 180 rounds of American Eagle. Not one hiccup. Very nice shooter ... and lots of fun. First real AR shooting I've done since my draftee days (that dates me for sure). hippie.gif

I'm looking forward to a future trek out there when I can try to shoot from more distance with a rest. I wasn't going prone in the snow today. I'm really happy with my choice for an AR15. I had 1000 rounds of Wolf delivered this week so I'm going to have a chance to enjoy it alot.

Just keep the snow up there. Today, (Christmas Eve), it was 58 degrees in the Blue Ridge Mountains around Asheville, NC. Elevation is 2,164 feet above sea level.

Took a couple with the cellphone while we were out there, but they're not very good ... and include pictures of my son and I. I'll pose the RRA by itself when I get it cleaned up. I prefer not to post photos of myself with firearms on the internet. Just paranoid, I guess.
