Maybe this had something to do with it .....

EOTech receives contract from US Special Operations Command...

United States Marine Corps orders 2000 HWS units...

EOTech receives contract from US Army...

United States DEA Adopts EOTech HWS...

Business is pretty good for EOTech, and it stands to reason someone would come along and buy them up

I see this as new money to invest and advance the company

Good news for EOLovers

This is from the L-3 website:

Headquartered in New York City, L-3 Communications is a leading provider of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems, secure communications systems, aircraft modernization, training and government services. The company is a leading merchant supplier of a broad array of high technology products, including guidance and navigation, sensors, scanners, fuzes, data links, propulsion systems, simulators, avionics, electro optics, satellite communications, electrical power equipment, encryption, signal intelligence, antennas and microwave components. L-3 also supports a variety of Homeland Security initiatives with products and services. Its customers include the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, selected U.S. Government intelligence agencies and aerospace prime contractors.

Seems like a good change to me

Is this new, or the same topic that was brought up a few months ago?

I can't remember who bought them in the last thread....

That sucks.  When I buy my next EOTech, I will be supporting my companies main competition.

Will future EOTech’s still have the same  design and still wear the EOTech name?

I hope so because I was going to buy one next month

EoTechs will only become better as a result of this. (don't expect an L3 logo anywhere soon on an optic either)

I can't wait to go to the next gun show and see how many vendors try and convince me that Eotech has been bought and they wont be available to civies anymore. Care to place bets on what they will be marking theyre 552s at?
