LOVE THE M79 PIC!!!!!!!   Lived with one of those for 11 months in Vietnam.  A really versatile weapon.

EXOCET:

Your question about the wood furniture............  Matt has not yet updated the IWD website to include any info or pictures of the maple or walnut stock sets.  Give him a call or email to discuss details or questions.  A great great guy to work with.

Happened upon this all original (well almost, someone swapped out its A1 FH for the one seen… the correct A1 FH has sense been installed, but I haven’t taken any new (better) pictures yet) 1977 vintage Colt SP1 at my local FFL shop:

Planning on leaving it in its current condition as the "worn look" fits it nicely I think.

Took a few new pictures last night:

That is quite possible one of the most beautiful carbines I've ever seen.  I'm jealous.

Stickman,

I love that SF shield on the stock.  I gotta do that.

I think I have an extra shield.  Maybe Ill stick my original TAC beret emblem on it as well.

Damn sweet.

Thanks.  The lower is a registered receiver M16 made of stainless steel.   Here's another pic of it.

Hey 607 series builders - I thought I read that Tom @ Total Silence stopped making the collapsible stocks?  I haven't called yet to find out for myself.  I sure hope not since I'm halfway into a 607B build !

I thought I would post this info in all of the more recent “Retro Discussions” that I could find in the hopes that I may help those who are looking for info, and it may help to cut down on duplicate posts.

This is by no means all of the topics that are out there, but I think that these topics are the most extensive and have most of the bases covered. If you do a search for “Retro” or “XM177” you will find that there are a few more out there.

Hope this helps,
