Of all that I have used, i really like the ergo the best as far as feel. I really never had a complaint about the A2 grip (I am 1/2 sasquatch), but the deeper Ergo grip fit my hand best. I use the battle grip on my work rifle simply so I can carry extra batteries for my light, but I don't like the feel of it particularly. Of course, while actually carried in real life, I don't notice the grip so much

All but one of my ARs has Hogues (some black, some OD green)... the one that doesn't has an A1 grip for authenticity.
Surpisingly, while I love the finger grooves on the Hogue grip, I HATE it on the A2 grip. Like others have done here, I made a "mock" A1 grip out of an A2 by filing off the "bump"... it is a MUCH, MUCH better grip this way... of course it's still sitting in the parts box.  Shal1 |
