If you let one of one your shooting buddies shoot a mag thru your AR with your ammo, you save 10 rds of ammo hr

That's about the only reason I even carry my Bushmaster 10 round mag to the range.
Most are satisfied blasting a 10 round run and I save 20 rounds for me.

Viators point about banning mags, potentially, is the same exact reason I a shitload of them.  The same goes for ammo, spare parts kits, unbuilt lowers, etc.  If they can't stomache trying to take our guns away directly (likely) they'll go after everything that makes 'em go bang.

I'm new to this site, and thought I would chime in as  a noob.

I only have one AR (more to be purchased soon), but I have 10 30rnd, 10 20 rnd, and a C-mag.

As far as I am concerned bragging rights go to those with the most ARs.

Having a shitload of  mags is just common sense.

I like the 20's because they don't get in the way, and when I go plink'n there is always some dude who want to give my bushy a "whirl". I am always glad to oblige those that are without, and in doing so I save 10 rounds, rather than having them blow throught 30.

For me over here in the UK
It just depends what I can get my hands on

I've a DPMS 20 rd
a USGI 20rd
Unknown origin 30rd
and a SA80 30rd

And I can hear you guys laughing from here

Coz you all have probably 20 of each

But I do prefer the 20's coz it's easier to bench rest shoot with them

Taffy

Probably 20 of each.

If I only had 20 mags for any weapon system, I'd be apoplectic.

If you don't have to inventory your mags on your computer to keep track of them, you need to mag up, dude.

If you don't order your mags by the case (100/per), you are simply being inefficient.

Don't waste money; buy in quantity!

We don't need as many mags because we go through less ammo. Being that our AR15s are neutered "straight pull" manually operated beasts.

Working on it. I prolly woln't get an AR because I'd just feel short changed having a manually operated AR. I'll probably go for a Savage bolt action rifle.
