I've often thought of painting a .45 or AR odd colors for just such an instance. How about painting a FH neon orange like toy manufacturers do?  But I wonder if that could work against someone, because the thief/rapist/axemurderer could always say that he thought it was a toy, and had he known it wasn't a toy, he would have complied/fled/pissed his pants.. hmmmmm kinda makes ya think, don't it?
