Bah. The Mg42 in 8mm, now thats a beyatch of a ride. My brother shot the 60 (the pig) and said that one was much more controllable. |

Did someone say she should try shooting a machinegun? Check...
 OK, so it's not a .308 MG, I know. How about a .50 then?  A M203?  I know, I know, I'm veering from the point. Point is, with good technique, any willing and able adult, and even many teenagers can shoot an AR10. The gun isnt THAT heavy, and the recoil isnt THAT bad. Is it an ideal gun for someone her size? Probably not. Would she take it to a multi day, high round count class? Well, I guess it depends on the class, but I doubt it. She's got other guns Im sure she'd pick first. But that doesnt mean that she can't use one if need be, or enjoy it while doing so. In the end, I think that's the point. Why one would think otherwise I think points to something other than concern. |

Yeah well the pig's rate of fire is something like 650 to 550, the MG42's at 1100-1200rpm. The HK21's at around 850, fast enough, a 3rd burst sounds like a semi being fired. When I fired a Mini Uzi for the first time (using the stance for shooting a rifle) it damn near knocked me off my ass, it's a 9mm, but at 1200rpm there's a lot of the tiny 9mm recoil energy coming at you NAG that ain't fair, she didn't shoulder them guns, standing up

Most fun I ever had with an auto was either an M4A1 or an MP5SD (thanks Mojo!). I can't decide.
Krinkov 7.62.......that was wicked. I only got to watch, but it was all over the place. |
